TCFAH
provides technical assistance to area social service providers
in developing and maintaining housing for the “special
needs”, low-income sector of the community. The agency
is certified as Seminole County’s first Community Housing
Development Organization (CHDO). |

Rental Program |
|
| |
|
TCFAH
maintains 70 affordable rental-housing units in Seminole
County. At the close of 2004, TCFAH had received over
480 calls concerning rental-housing support. If agency
housing units are not available, TCFAH provides these
individuals with information, referrals and advocacy to
alternative housing, social and financial assistance programs. |

Transitional Housing |
|
| |
|
The
TCFAH has established twenty (20) single-family, scattered-site
Transitional Housing units within Seminole County. The
Transitional Housing program is designed to assist homeless
families gain permanent housing stability. Participants
are offered rent and utility subsidies, Counseling, Case
Management, Advocacy, Financial Education, and Self-Sufficiency
Training. |

Comprehensive Housing Counseling |

This
program assists First Time Homebuyers with Credit Counseling,
mortgage pre-qualifying, and pre-purchase education. TCFAH
is a HUD certified Housing Counseling Agency providing
comprehensive financial education, credit recovery and
mortgage delinquency assistance. |
