The
Center for Affordable Housing, Inc. (TCFAH) was established
in 1981 to develop safe and affordable housing to the
lower-income residents of Central Florida. Through many
years experience, TCFAH discovered that in addition to
housing availability, the provision of housing support
services is a vital component in ensuring the long-term
success of low-income residents securely remaining in
housing. The agency provides the development of affordable
housing for rental and homeownership, as well as offering
Transitional Housing for Homeless families, Comprehensive
Case Management, Individualized Housing Counseling, Self-sufficiency
training, Financial Education and Housing Outreach Services.
Incorporated throughout the agency's function in the community
is the intervention and prevention of homelessness.
TCFAH
has been actively and consistently involved with the
housing issues of Central Florida for 24 years, resulting
in first-hand working knowledge of low-income housing,
housing counseling / programs and property rehabilitation.
Having been firmly established within the community,
TCFAH has proved throughout its history to be dedicated
in providing housing services in a beneficial and accomplished
manner. The agency is certified as Seminole County’s
first Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO),
as well as being certified as a Housing Counseling Agency
(HUD). During its 24 years existence, TCFAH has successfully
developed over 375 low-income housing units.
